TODAY WE WLIL PROVIDE COVID VACCINATIONS, FLU VACCINATIONS, AS WELL AS FOOD BOXES AND FRESH PRODUCE TO OUR COMMUNITY, AS WE ALLS HIV SCREENING. ANMIA: WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU CONTINUE TO HAVE EVENTS LIKE THESE? >> IT IS IMPORTTAN WE PROVIDE THESE EVENTS TO CLOSE THE GAPS IN COMMUNITIES THAT WE KNOW ARE IN NEED. WE PROVIDE MENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND SUBSTCEAN USE DISORDER TREATMENTS. WE KNOW THAT IS NOT ENOUGH AND WE CAN ONLY ACCOMPLISH CLOSING THE ECOSYSTEM OF CARE BY PARTNERING WHIT ORGANIZATIONS AND MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY. MIANA: WE MENTIONED UFL SHOTS. COVID-19 and flu vaccines, health screenings and food boxes will be available

The Crossroads Center is partnering with Genoa Healthcare, The Freestore Foodbank and Caracole, Inc. to provide a one-stop shop for vaccine shots, testing and food distribution. The event is free and open to the public. It takes place Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at The Crossroads Center on Burnet Ave.The free COVID-19 vaccines being administered are Moderna; boosters will not be available. Flu vaccines are free for those with insurance; uninsured individuals will be charged $35.99. HIV and Hep-C screenings are free and materials on prevention and safety will be offered.Distribution of food boxes will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will continue until supplies are exhausted. In addition, Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank will be on hand to distribute informational materials and offer a limited quantity of diapers."The Crossroads Center and our partners share a mission of ensuring optimal and equitable health care treatment for those in need. As we head into the winter season, we are acutely aware of the importance of preventive care," noted Jamahal C. Boyd, Sr., CEO, The Crossroads Center.
