Job Description: Provide assertive, community based interventions and case management, HIV testing and education for individuals who inject drugs and who are HIV+ or at high risk for HIV. Link individuals experiencing drug abuse/dependence with resources, facilitate client access to medical care and medications, drug or alcohol treatment, syringe exchange programs, holistic care resources, advocacy and psychosocial interventions. Use bio-psychosocial and harm reduction models related to successful HIV/AIDS care and engagement of people who inject drugs. Work independently and as a strong member of a small team. This is a new program that we will create together based on best practice models.
Qualifications: Requires bachelor’s degree in social work or related field; LSW licensure or Chemical Dependency certification or eligible to achieve licensure/certification within six months of hire. Demonstrated sensitivity to persons living with chronic diseases (HIV/AIDS and addiction) and co-existing social, mental and physical health conditions. Reliable transportation and daily travel within our region, working in SW Ohio, N. Kentucky and SE Indiana.
Employment Type: Full-Time. Wage Salary: 37,000-42,000 Benefits Offered Medical, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance, 401K.
